my friends .. heidy and vernon baker... i just love these two friends to death... they are THE most generous.. warm .. kindhearted people i have ever met... heidy is going to become an american citizen while i am back in alaska.. i am so SO sorry to be missing the ceremony..mister baker recovering from his brain tumor surgury from last year..great shot of heidy and her wonderful smile.. mister baker doing what he doess... signing his books.. we had a GREAT time at the bbq picnic that the bakers gave today for their friends... terrific group of people.. especially heidys friends from germany.. i didnt understand much they said... they didnt understand much of what i said.. but they were terrific fun to try to bridge the language barrier... and besides.. any friend of the bakers is a friend of mine... i spent quite a bit of time listening to mr baker tell stories... he is so funny... so interesting... but i sure miss the days of our old pizza parlor where the TWO of them would come in and tell stories together... we (moon me daughter2 and the bakers) would laugh ourselves to death for HOURS ... gonna get together with them when i get back home... heidy and i can sit and drink coffee.. moon and vernon can shoot the breeze... it is SO wonderful that he has gained about 50 pounds back and looks so good again... he sure did give us all a scare with that brain tumor... he is getting to be his old self again... and we couldnt be happier..to see heidy with a smile glowing again is simply a prayer come true... this day.. THIS celebration was one of the best times i have ever had... we LOVE you OMA AND OPA.!!..:-) (that is grandma and grandpa in german... and what they have sebastian and my other grandkiddos call them...
